DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1. Feb 1. Arrival / Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, upon arrive you will be welcomed by Mongolian Outdoor Travel’s guide and transfer to hotel in town down. Welcome dinner in down town restaurant, trip orientation at the hotel by Chinzo and Hubert, overnight in hotel. (Hotel; D)

Day 2. Feb 2. Bulgan town

Start your overland to Bulgan town, after 5 hours of drive on tarmac we arrive in Bulgan town, overnight in local hotel, on this day we ride Ural motorbikes as sample ride and getting along with your machine. (5 hours of drive, sample ride on Urals; Local Hotel; B, L, D)

Day 3. Feb 3. Lake Huvsgul

Continue your journey to Lake Huvsgul, stop at Murun town for refueling and meal, then continue to Lake Huvsgul, largest fresh water lake of country, that lies just between Mongolian-Russian border, any adventure activity is possible in Lake Huvsgul but none ever did Ural ride on ice plateau that lasts 130km long width of 40 km, overnight in your gers that built up in platform with sleigh. You will be traveling like ancient khans riding your fast Urals and overnight and relaxing gers on platform that follows you all of the way. (5 hours of drive; sample ride on Urals; Overnight in gers; B,L,D )

Day 4. Feb 4. Ural ride/ Har Us river

Start your epic Ural ride on crystal clear ice of Lake Husvgul followed by your fully supported by gers on platform, lunch on the way overlooking winter landscape of Lake Huvsgul, afternoon arrive in Har Us river, one of the main feeding resource of Lake Huvsgul, this fast moving water does not freeze over the winter, overnight in gers nearby the Har Us River. ( Ride Urals 4-5 hours Private Ger; B, L, D )

Day 5. Feb 5. Ural ride/ Modon Hui Island

Continue your epic Ural ride on crystal clear ice of Lake Husvgul followed by your fully supported by gers on platform, lunch on the way overlooking winter landscape of Lake Huvsgul, afternoon we arrive in Modon Hui Island, only one island of Lake Huvsgul. Isolation caused by water makes this Island more wilderness, drive around by your Urals explore diferent sites of island then back to base camp for dinner and overnight inn you private gers that parked on ice. ( Ride Urals 4-5 hours Private Ger; B, L, D )

Day 6. Feb 6. Ural ride/ Khankh Village/Nortern shore of Lake Huvsgul

Continue your epic Ural ride on crystal clear ice of Lake Husvgul followed by your fully supported by gers on platform, lunch on the way overlooking winter landscape of Lake Huvsgul, afternoon we arrive in Khankh village, only one village that locates northern shore of Lake Huvsgul. Refueling stop combined by some visit to local school that still operates under -30C , meeting with school kids and participate in their class. Return to your base for dinner and overnight. Day 7. Feb 7. Ural ride to Ongolog delta

Continue your epic Ural ride on crystal clear ice of Lake Husvgul followed by your fully supported by gers on platform, lunch on the way overlooking winter landscape of Lake Huvsgul, ride towards Ongolog delta, afternoon arrive in Ongolog Delta, spend this evening ice fishing on Ongolog Delta, overnight in gers. ( Ride Urals 5-6 hours, Private Ger; B, L, D )

Day 8. Feb 8. Horse Sledding on Lake Huvsgul

Morning meet your horse sleighs and ride to south end of Lake Huvsgul, ride traditional horse sleighs on ice that used by locals a hundreds of years, after 3-4 hours of ride we arrive in Hatgal village and camp in our mobile gers. This is the our last day on stunning lake of Huvsgul, that eveningwe celebrate our journeys in frozen harbor of Hatgal village. Overnight in gers. (Horse sleigh4-5 hours; Private Ger; B, L, D)

Day 9. Feb 9. Overland to Bulgan town

Morning start to driving back to Ulaanbaatar, have a lunch on the way in Murun town, on the way we stop Uushigyn Deer Stone complex, if weather allows we also do some Ural riding on the way, later in the evening arrive in Bulgan town for overnight and dinner. (Driving time 5-6 hoursl Local Hotel; B, L, D)

Day 10. Feb 10. Ulaanbaatar

Morning start todriving back to Ulaanbaatar, have a lunch on the way on road canteen, if weather allows we also do some Ural riding on the way, later in the evening arrive in Bulgan town for overnight and dinner. (Driving time 5-6 hoursl Local Hotel; B, L, D)

Day 11. Feb 11. Departure

Transfer to airport for departure to your home: (B)
